What's the Hero's Mission?
Susie's pioneering work in collaboration with David Gibbons ... THE HERO SERIES will help you
to reweave a new web, dream a new dream and create a new structure for your current reality, a structure that reveres and
honours all life as sacred and honours the health and beauty of this incredible planet - your home. The
current web of reality has been woven out of shadow qualities... lies and deception, fear, greed and abuse of power, together
with a general disrespect for much of life other than the elite 'few' who profit at the expense of the planet and the
rest of us. When you learn how to embrace 'conscious mythical living' you can discover how by changing
yourself, you can change your world!

In collaborating with David William Gibbons
of the well respected program "In Discussion", Susan Anthony had a compelling idea for certain of the interviews
on their shows - to underpin the questions in the series of radio and tv programmes with the archetypal theme of finding the
hero within... after all this is what her work is all about. This powerfully connects with the subject of one of her next
books A MAP TO GOD - ‘FAMOUS’ SPIRITUAL INTEGRITY.
"Talking with
the Modern Day Heroes of our World"

Dr. Susan Anthony
Discover
how to marry the mystical and the mundane to live the magic of an empowered life through learning all about and embracing
'conscious mythical living', the gift of the Hero's Journey.'
The Hero knows how to change negative feelings
about life into positive feelings. Remember it’s not what people say or do to us that hurts us, it’s our attitude
to what they say and do. It’s the same with life in general. My own personal experience on working with this 12-step
programme was that I progressed through four stages of growth on what I now realize is a journey of the soul - the Hero's
Journey...

Unconscious incompetence
This is characterized
by our actions under the influence of our obsessions, compulsions and attachments. Here we are very much in ‘victim
consciousness’ taking everything personally, blaming others and being in a negative emotional state most of the time.
Conscious incompetence
This is characterized
by the beginnings of reconnection to the hero, what I term loosely as best self. This is when we discover that our primary
obsession, compulsion, addiction or attachment was not the only problem we had. Here we are beginning to connect to higher
aspects of self and discover the Hero inside, but we are still fairly negative and blaming in our patterns of behaviour.
Conscious competence
This is characterized
by continued and consistent efforts to incorporate spiritual integration into our daily lives. Here we begin to experience
self-responsibility and self-acceptance. We begin to work through and transform negative emotions into positive feelings
with no blaming. By identifying old negative habitual patterning we can substitute more positive patterns.
Unconscious competence
This is characterized
by our ability to practise integrated spirituality and all its principles without thought or effort. This leads to harmony
and empowerment, where although we can see external negativity in life around us, we are unaffected by it. Now we are living
in positive emotions all the time. This is self-mastery. This is also heaven on earth where the Hero is beginning to learn
how to consciously co-create his reality.
Moving from unconscious incompetence to conscious competence requires
humility, self-honesty, dedication and commitment to higher ideals and values, and a spiritual way of life through learning
the process of co-creation. Moving into unconscious competence and staying there requires weeks, months and years of practice,
acting ‘as if’ and practising devotion. Eventually, practice and acting ‘as if’ suddenly becomes
being. Then you are ‘there’ and you are creating heaven on earth in moment-to-moment conscious awareness.
But, how do we get there?
We
have to let go of attachments in the ordinary (ego) world, overcome our denials, fears and resistance to answer the call
to the Hero's Journey. We need to find a mentor to train and learn the rules of the special (spiritual) world, take self
responsibility, face the tests, slay the monsters, deal with rejection, abandonment and betrayal by friends enemies and allies...
alike! All this the hero endures in order to find his or her gift, their special or higher purpose in life... the boon
he or she brings back to the ordinary world to heal a troubled land.
‘Rock bottom is good solid ground,
and a dead end street is just a place to turn around.’
'The only myth that is going to be worth talking about in the immediate future is one that is talking
about the planet, not this city, not these people, but the planet and everybody on it. And what it will have to deal with
will be exactly what all myths have dealt with—the maturation of the individual, from dependency through adulthood,
through maturity, and then to the exit; and then how to relate this society to the world of nature and the cosmos…
And until that gets going, you don’t have anything."
